First Line Friday – 27 Jan 2017 – For the Record

first-line-fridays31

Welcome to another edition of First Line Fridays.  This week we are welcoming Bree Herron from Bibliophile Reviews to our ever expanding group. 🤗  Hello Bree!

My first line this week is actually two lines, because they just need to stay together.  They’re from Regina Jennings’ latest release, For the Record:

Only a limited patch of Earth could claim the privilege of belonging to Texas.  Not that he despised the rest of the world for its misfortune, but there was a difference.

What’s your first line?  Share it below and then go and then visit my friends and share with them too!

Sarah ~ All The Book Blog Names Are Taken //  Bree ~ Bibliophile Reviews  //  Rachel ~ Bookworm Mama  //  Heather ~ Encouraging Words from the Tea Queen  //  Beth ~ Faithfully Bookish  //  Andi ~ Radiant Light  //  Carrie ~ Reading is my Superpower  //  Robin ~ Robin’s Nest  //  Sydney ~ Singing Librarian

If you would like to join us for First Line Friday, contact Carrie at Reading is my Superpower.

  1. “Good evening,” said Lucy. But the Faun was so busy picking up its parcels that at first it did not reply. 🙂 This is from Chapter 2 of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” by C.S. Lewis. This year I’m reading books I have read in the past and have enjoyed. I don’t know how many times I’ve journeyed to Narnia.

I love the covers of Regina’s books. They look so inviting. My first line is: “Journeys are a curious sort of thing.” From Embracing the Baobab, Missionary Reflections on Christian Community, by Jerry Ireland.
