Happy Wednesday, Word Nerds! What I want to know is, can you wrap your mouth around today’s word?
absquatulate
That’s right, ab-SQUAT-u-late. I saw this word in a post a friend had shared on Facebook this week, so maybe you have too, but I thought it would be a fun word with which to play a game of What Do You Think It Means?
Hit me with your most creative definitions—even if you know the real one—and I’ll be back next week to reveal the truth! 🙂
I’ve never heard of that word. haha! I love learning new things. 🙂

It’s a great word to get your mouth around, isn’t it? 🙂

Mmmm. I am going to absquatulate. I think it means to leave quickly or abruptly.

This is a new one to me! I think it means to consider or weigh your options. Have you every played Balderdash? It’s a fun “word” game!

After I left my guess… I went to look up the word. My guess was incorrect, but it was fun to take a wild shot in the dark! 🙂

It was a good guess though!

I love that game! It’s actually the inspiration for getting readers to come up with their own definition before I share the real one! 🙂

If I ever get to visit your side of the globe, we’ll have to get together and play Balderdash! 😀
